Can I just say it’s simply AMAZING discovering that some of my old web design pals are still around ♥. It makes me happy :).

In other news… In my previous post, I told you all that my best friend and I were looking for an apartment to move into it. Guess what? We got the apartment!! We moved in on April 9th, 2011. HELLO complete independence!! I have always had an independent mindset and now I am completely on my own. I pay for the roof over my head, I pay for my food, transportation, etc. It feels GREAT. I am so thankful to God that I was blessed with a job last year, which enabled me to make this move. I just cannot express how happy this makes me! My family has been a great help- my aunts have helped a lot with the purchasing of items. Utilities are included in the rent (whoooooo), but we have to pay for cable. I ordered basic cable last week and let me tell you, it was such a bust!!

Silly, foolish me did not know that basic cable meant “regular” channels with about… hmm… THREE cable channels (I re-ordered to get better service)!!! I was SO upset. Not to mention, the African cable installers were hitting on me. It seems like you can’t be nice to men, they take it the wrong way. What’s INSANE is that one of them was trying to give me free (illegal) cable. He told me to call Comcast and cancel the installation, but he’ll still install it. I told him no thanks. At the end of installation, he left his number on my receipt (how unprofessional) and said he has something for me (a free cable box). I told him I’d think it over (to be nice, I suppose). Did I call that man? NOPE! But this past Sunday, I received a text saying “Happy Easter” from an unknown number. I asked who it was, AND IT WAS THE CABLE GUY. I was SO pissed off because I did NOT give that man my effing number, so it meant that he’d taken it from my Comcast information!!! I sent him a text, saying that was very unprofessional and against protocol and that I did NOT give him my number. Then I’d told him to not contact me ever again… He’s lucky I didn’t report him and get him fired tbh.

There goes my dream…

Well folks, there goes my dream of marrying Chris Brown (I don’t want to seriously marry him btw).

So, as some of you may or may not know, Chris Brown assaulted Rihanna. I really do not know the details of how or why this happened, but it did. Supposedly she had/has a black eye, bloody nose, and contusions so it was pretty severe. I am so disappointed with him. I am a fan (hence AM, not was) of his and definitely did not expect this. I have always been raised to believe that men who beat, let alone hit, women are punks. There is really no justification of him hitting her like that. Domestic abuse can’t be justified.

I wondered if he did it out of self-defense, then I think, what type of self-defense could have possibly lead to so much damage?!?! Unless she was about to kill him and it was life vs. death, there is NO justification whatsoever. And even if that WAS the case, all of that hitting was unnecessary to get away.

I would go more in depth about my views on love and domestic violence but my twin, Angie has already said anything I would have said and more.

I thought I had seen it all.

I thought I had seen it all… I have seen photos of guys showing off their abs, photos of girls showing off their breasts, butt, whatever. I have seen photos of people taking pictures in a really messy room and also people taking “mirror shots” when the mirror hasn’t been cleaned in ages. I thought I had seen it all when it came to pictures on facebook and myspace. Sad to say, I have been proved wrong.

Yesterday, whilst happily browsing one of my favorite websites (Facebook), I came across a picture of a girl sitting on the toilet. Her pants was down. Her underwear was down. And she pursed out her lips as if it was a cute picture. I thought to myself: how could she be so trashy?? Kind of judgmental, but whatever, I’ll be judgmental. There is nothing cute about urinating, nothing at all. If you want to take crazy pictures, fine, take them, but keep them to yourself or between your friends. Don’t put them on public domain because you NEVER know where the pictures will end up. I just don’t really see how anyone could think such a picture is cute! Where is your self-respect??

It’s not February yet, but I am in the blogging spirit :). I even have some blogs lined up (including blogs about materialism and homosexuality). I am finally inspired to update this thing, yay! I might just get active again lol. I might even create a new layout. Who knows what the future will hold ;) . Oh and in regards to the previous post, I still haven’t decided on what to do. I think for now I’ll remove the celebrity layouts I dislike (esp the ones that aren’t centered). I’ll take gradual steps because I know a lot of people use the coding from the layouts to create their own.
