I guess I am a weak person?

Updates: hosteespoll of the week

I was browsing quotes a few moments ago and came across this quote by Ghandi: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” What do you personally think about this quote? Do you agree or disagree; why or why not?

You see… I am somewhat of an unforgiving person. I never forget anything and I tend to hold grudges. I believe in giving people second chances, but third, fourth, and fifth chances are out of the question. I do not put my trust in everyone, so if I trust you and you break this trust, it will be hard for me to get over it because it is something I really value. Once I have been seriously hurt, I am hurt and no amount of apologizing can make me forgive you.

To forgive is to cease to feel resentment against a person, according to Dictionary.com. I really do feel it is alright to hold resentment towards people, I actually think it is healthy lol. I don’t think you should go around and forgive everyone, that’s too passive and some people do not deserve forgiveness. I think the problem arises when this resentment is constantly on your mind and controls you. Does that make sense? Sometimes I don’t make sense… Anywho, I don’t think being somewhat unforgiving is really a negative characteristic (I am not saying NEVER forgive a person btw). What if you had a child and your child was molested or even raped by someone you knew? Could you forgive that person? I don’t think I personally could… it’s like, why should I give him my forgiveness??

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION! I will be getting a new domain either this month or next month. Some of the things you see here WILL NOT be on my new website (in terms of resources), so save what you want to now! This is just a heads up :). Also, I am leaving this Saturday to spend my spring break volunteering. I will not do anything web related during this time. Take care everyone.
