Too many people are using the word “love” in vain

How can love bring so many young girls pain?
They’re mistreated, being beat, afraid to speak up
But if this continues, their lives will be abrupt

They lack independence and are losing self-esteem
No longer will they be able to fulfill their lifelong dreams
They are too afraid to go on and live life alone
In fact, most of these girls act too grown

They weren’t very smart and grew up too fast
I bet most of them wish that they could change the past
But now it is the present and entirely too late
Now maybe they will realize that being in love can injure your fate
