1. Don’t type mixing lowercase and uppercase letters (ExAmPlE- yOu SuCk). You are not cool!
2. Don’t replace letters with numbers (3×4mpl3: 0r30). Again, you are not cool!
3. Don’t double the letter “i” because you think it looks cute (ii mean somethiing liike thiis).
4. Don’t replace the letter “g” with the letter “q” (Example: qirl, i’m qood!)! They are two different letters for a freakin’ reason!
5. Don’t add a “z” to words ending with “s” (or vice versa), that is the most ridiculous thing ever (Example: Typing like thisz isz not the businessz).
6. The biggest NO-NO of them all: DON’T COMBINE ANY OF THE ABOVE NO-NO’S TOGETHER, THAT’S THE WORST OF THEM ALL (Example: Mii frii3nD N ii W3nT 2 D4 sT0r3 ‘C4usz w3 q0t hUnqrY)!!

Thos are all so true! Very well written, I hate when people do that. Way back when, when everyone had Piczo, this girl wrote “Don’t waist my time.” I wrote in her guestbook and corrected her homonym error
I definitely find all of these annoying. ESPECIALLY the last one. I can never read it.

I find it funny when people use “your” instead of “you are” and vice-versa :P. Ive seen loads of people using “there” instead of “their”
But the most annoying is “dis,dat,dos,ver” kinda language (acc. to me)

I completely agree. I mean, I just hate it when you can’t even see anything. I have this ’special talent’ (just ignore that. >.>) where I could read this stuff, even though I don’t use it, or have EVER used it.
I hate it when people forgot their periods, or just do type well but Type Like This All The Time. You don’t need to capitalize(sp?) your letters, it’s pretty much abusing it. :/ Use it when you need to.
I’m not saying people who make tiny spelling mistakes [your for you're, there for their, they're, etc] really bug me, but it’s kind of.. when people use shorter words for it. [ppl for people, etc.] Ugh.
My friend thinks it’s so cool, she writes like ‘dat in rl LOL i dink its so kool lol.’ Totally.. ugh.

I wouldn’t lie, but I do replace the g’s with a Q.. I am so used to doinq that, but when I type an essay, or do a book report, its different.. one thinq you should add on this.. is DO NOT write with the BIG O’s replacinq the small o’s in a lowercase sentence,
example: whats gOOd, readinq a bOOk, bOred Out my mind.. and so on.
Dont spell stupdi wrong! also be sortof aware of slang terms when typing like i emaild somebody in my class saying do you have anymore nuts, he had had realy good walnuts the day before… but he dosent email me anymore… :frown:

As a three-time spelling bee champion, improper spelling and typing especially irritates me! Thanks for putting this up here :D. Also, when people say “dat” and “dis” as a replacement for “that” and “this”, I get really annoyed. Currently one of my hostees is doing all of the above, which are all against my rules, I gotta delete her. She’s been warned like 3 times, LOL.

My friend types like that ALL the time…seriously go to my g-book and u’ll see it says ‘ira’ and she write LiK3 Di$$ all the time. She does the q and g thing a lot too…ugh!!!

People keep telling me I put two i’s on the end of my name to be cute, but it’s actually how I’ve always spelt my name.
It gets annoying after a while.
I hate when people capitalize every letter (Example: This Is A Picture Of Me And My Friend. I’m The One On The Left) my sister does that, and it’s really annoying! But it’s also annoying when people never use capitals, not even on names and stuff (Example: hi katy and jemma, how are you? i just got back from the store sorry i was gone so long) and it’s also annoying when people shorten and slang words. I know some people are too lazy or tired to do it, but even when I’m tired, I make the effort! (Example: yea thanx 4 da cmnt, i rly lyk ur syt 2) and it’s just sooooo annoying when people never use spaces! (Example: YeahIKnowThanksForTheGiftMaha) I was talking on a chat box the other day and someone was talking like that – I felt like screaming! And I so agree with 5! I agree with all of them! Especially 2! I hate it! On my site (So-Miley) someone said “Hey i l0ve s0m1l3y!” Ahh, scary. Bone chilling infact.

I was visiting a site that typed like that and I just had to exit. It was annoying as hell.
I know I just hate it when people use numbers instead of words. And I could never read anything on their site. (And my name is MEANT to be using a capital E and lower case ll and then MO in capitals, becuase its my boyfriends initials and my nickname mixed up) :smile: :cute: :grin: :wink:
I think you should go back and correct any typoes, like
typo*.
I abhor when people overuse words (commonly overused words: “like,” “totally,” “hate,” “never,” “forever”). It’s quite terrible when people do not understand how to use an apostrophe, too. Chatspeak in general is annoying. On the new side – putting “;;” at the end of every sentence. People think it’s artistic, but it’s unnecessary! People overuse ellipses too, putting them after every two words. Okay, one more before I put some examples – don’t you shiver when people put 40 exclamation points at the end of a sentence, combined with talking in all capital letters?
There are so many, so I’ll just put it all in a few examples:
(Note:Girl to girl) “Haaay gorgie… ya da hotzzz man!!!!!!!! ilysfmm;;”
“&&omg!!!! HE TOTALLY DID NOT SAY DAT!!!!!!!!!!”
“2day… ii wuz liek… walkinn… &&ii saw dis DOG… and… omg… it wuz so fuglyyy… lol… i wuz talkin bout a real dog… NOT U…jk… ifly<33…friends foreverrr;;”
