Hello, hola, bonjour, etc :). I'm a 21 year old African-American woman nicknamed Mimi. I am in my senior year of college, majoring and minoring in subjects unrelated to web/graphic design. Poetry is my anti-drug and as previously stated in the welcome message, I'm pretty random. Are you intrigued?

What Not To Do When Messaging

1. Don’t you dare, EVER IN YOUR LIFE, send someone a message just saying “hi”. It’s a waste of space, especially if you’re sending it to a complete stranger.

2. Don’t send those stupid chain letters. I know I will not have 032830283 years of bad luck if I don’t pass it on. I know that I will not die in a couple of hours if I choose to delete the message. If you’re that superstitious or that annoying to send the message you need… well.. you just suck :).

3. If you’re a guy trying to talk to a girl, don’t send a message like “dang ma you look sexy as hell in ya pics. i wantd to see whatz good?!” Dude, nothing’s good. Ask me how I am doing, ask me my interests, etc. Treat me like a lady, not a piece of meat.

4. If you’re a guy trying to talk to a girl, don’t ask a girl for her # after exchanging what? 2 messages with said girl? That’s beyond desperate.

5. Seriously, don’t even send credit card, debit card, social security numbers or anything that personal in a message. You never know, someone may just hate you for some reason and hack your page or something.

6. If someone ignores a message from you don’t repeatedly send them a message. They’re ignoring you for a reason.

Never send messages like “just showing love”, because it’s showing you’re not interested in what you’ve seen and are only expecting something back in return. Pointless.

Never send out mass invites if you just signed up for a new social community or something to your entire address book because it’s annoying to some, you should simple e-mail the specif people with YOUR OWN invite.

Don’t add send thousands of messages to your bf/gf just saying “I LOVVEEEE YOOUUU!!” over and over again. Once in a while is alright but when people send them constantly it just gets annoying.

#1 is dumb…sorry but it think it is..saying hi isnt wrong…your just weird…….

I agree with Jay and Rachel. When people always say I Looove Yooou over and over it gets really annoying. I did that once with my gmail group. I sent and invite to some site and everyone got all mad and stuff.

I am weird and quite happy yo be weird :). Saying “hi” is a waste of time. You can say HI, HOW ARE YOU? HI, WHAT’S UP? HI, MY NAME IS SO AND SO, BLAH BLAH BLAH… Saying “hi” alone is a waste of space and MOST likely it’ll end up being ignored.

    I agree with number one!
I can’t stand it when someone sends me an empty message like that.

Also,if someone is talking about something that’s important to them, and they’re really into the message, don’t reply back just saying,”Oh.” or “Ok.”
That’s soo rude to me xd

But I agree with all of these ;D

I hate it when I’m on MSN, and if your busy doing homework or something, they nudge you if you don’t reply within 30 seconds. If you continue not to rpely them they log in and out to get your attention. Annoying!

‘Treat me like a lady, not a piece of meat.’

LMAO. this got me laughing crazily for like 3243242 hours and my parents asked me what the heck was going on when i kept bursting out in random laughs.

I hate it when people don’t use the full words for things.
    Example: i <3 ur pic!
Or when people don’t use the capitals in the right place.
Example: i can’t believe jenny told jack that!
I just find that so annoying.

It’s not really a good idea to start arguing with someone on MSN. If you realize your arguing, just sign off. You and the other person will say things you don’t mean, because your more confident when your hid behind your computer screen. Trust me, its happened to me. :eyes:

  11. Joanne said:

wow, i agree with you 100%

    guys, don’t leave a girl a msg
asking them can they send you
    some more pictures of themselves
and you know what kind of pics im talkin about.
truthfully u look like you have no life and confidence to go outside and get some for yourself seriously

    7. If you like someone, just send them a message saying “I Love You” then log off. It’s annoying and quite immature!

  14. Francine said:

Don’t reply to a message saying “lol”. It’s obvious that you have nothing else better to say if you message them that.

Start a new conversation instead of just posting “lol” to all their messages.

  15. Sophie said:

I really can’t stand it when people use WAY too much slang! A ‘lol’ every now and then is fine, don’t get me wrong, but you know certain people that contantly use symbols etc. to subsitute real words, they may aswell make their own language up!
Oh and I don’t find it very cool when people leave way too many letters at the end of their sentences. “Hey Babessssss” lol so unnecessary! =D I think peolple should speak the way they would normally – nothing’s different just because you’re logged on to MSN or whatever.

Anywho I really like your site! — Soph

    Don’t put “…” after everything.

It makes it very, VERY, awkward.

Don’t call at 2:00 AM. lmao.
    That’s it for me.

I completely agree with the chain letters- they’re annoying and dumb!

    good article

Yes! I totally agree with #1! It is quite a waste of time just sending a message saying Hi! I can honestly say myself that I would completey ignore the message. Unless they left their site or e-mail, than I will tell them how stupid it was. haha. No, I wouldn’t do that. I’m not too strict about that.

I would just very nicely tell them to not do it again. As, I felt the comment was completely wasteful and I would not again reply to that such comment.
