Let me begin this blog by saying I am somewhat upset of the fact that Sanjaya Malakar is still on American Idol. I really liked Sanjaya. He was cute (at first), even though he’s probably not interested in girls… Aside from his looks, I do think he has a good voice but the other contestants are on a much higher level than he is. Yeah, completely ranodm, I know.

Good news: I’m blogging and making updates :grin: . Oh yeah, one of my hostees has gotten her own domain, please go and show April some love! I had to close the site for like an hour today because WP was not working properly. I am so happy, though. I resolved all of the issues I had with WP and now I am a happy blogger lol. I also have a new skin up that was inspired by one of my hostees, Jessica ♥. Anywhos… School is going alright, I do not think I am going to do well at all this semester :up: . Scratch that- I clearly over exaggerated. However, I do believe that my grade in Math will not be a good one :sad: …

Yesterday, me and my friends went to the movies. We saw The Reaping and some of 300. The portion of 300 that I did see was SO GOOD. I am not even into action movies like that but I was entertained. The Reaping was also a good move, I LOVED IT! If you’re into GOOD suspenseful movies, you will like it too, trust me :happy: . Ahhh, I so want to talk about the movie, but I do not want to give anything away, so I’ll try to keep shut lol.

A couple of weeks ago, me and my friends attended an open forum that they were having at school. Somehow, they got off topic and began talking about voting. Some of the panel members stated that they have not been voting simply because none of the candidates are advantageous for them. At first, I did not know what to think about that, but I did continue to think about the voting issue… It’s like… Once upon a time Black people were not allowed to vote. There was a time when women could not vote, either. Our ancestors, our people FOUGHT for that right and I just think that we should not let it go to waste… you know? I mean sure, no one candidate is perfect but there has to be something that is positive about them. I’m like on the fence with this issue so I would like to know what do you think? Do you think people should exercise their right to vote, regardless?

hm, hope you do good in this semester, just stay after for your troubled subjects and you will have a passing grade soon. i think we should excersise the right to vote, specially since it’s in our hands on who becomes president…& if you don’t vote and a bad president goes into office, you may think “maybe my vote would have made a difference”.

hey mimi, the new skin is gorgeous, i’m trying to see if wordpress is gonna work for me, cause cutenews is driving me mad, omg i’m so mad at sanjaya and haley, they are not at the same level as melinda or jordina nd they need to go, when i’m 18, i’m so gonna vote, i was discussing that in my government class one time, i’m all for voting, as a saying goes, if you don’t vote you can’t complain, oh and those quotes are so old, i use to keep a journal full of quotes when i was maybe 13, ha 4 years ago, i would just fill it with quotes from random places, books, tv, people, i finally decided to use some, hehe

The layout is so pretty, especially the colors! Everyone seems to be doing bright, spring layouts and I pop up with a dark, almost winter layout.

I don’t watch American Idol, but I’m not sure about Sanjaya either. :question:

I’m iffy about the whole voting thing, as well. If I think that the candidates won’t do anything for me or the country, then I more than likely won’t vote for them . :blank:

Ahh. I envy your layout, like really. I was really thinking about doing another one of Christina Aguilera, but I think I’m losing my artistic touch :sad:. But ah, man. I think I’m slipping in my classes as well. Like my Bio grade.. eh.. and then I have this project due for Physics. It’s impossible, literally.

Even i have heard about Sanjaya and i live in England haha. I don’t think he’s that bad either, but i agree with you, there is alot more talented people out there. I love the new theme, it’s great, good job on it I actually had a similar layout to that one too. I have yet to see 300 but all i hear is good things about it, so i might just check it out. And about the vote thing? I think people should vote, it’s definetely being taken for granted and so many people have fought for us to have the right to it, so why not make the most of it? You know? of course everyone should exercise their rights to vote! a single vote matters a lot. and voting is such an important thing, that is if you care about the betterment of the country.

Your new skin is gorgeous. I tried skinning my site. heh, went terribly, terrible wrong. I think people should exercise their right to vote. I can’t wait to vote next year, I think its important because so many people lost their lives trying to get us that one right. goodness. but yay to new icons. i love them =]

Wow, this skin is gorgeous. Damn girl, you have 7 skins! Lol. Crazy. This one is definitely my favorite. I love the CSS.
I have no idea why SO many people say 300 is so good. I’m soo damn curious, lol. I really want to see it. It’s been on 2nd place (i think) for a long time. That’s how good it is, lol. I want to see The Reaping. It sounds good. I’m more excited about 300, even though it doesnt seem like one of the movies I watch.

AH! I’ve wanted to watch the REAPING xP I don’t know about 300 though… sounds too much of one of those Roman Empire “I WILL CONQUER!” movies… but then again, I haven’t paid that much attention to commericials anyways. DIsturbia also sounds like a good movie :lol: But I’ll take it into consideration, for sure. Just don’t know what my mom will say :happy:

I kinda got lost when first reading that. Just had to read it again and again…. and I’m STILL confused on the topic. So people don’t see a candidate that’s WORTHY of their vote is what you’re trying to say? And thus, they won’t vote until that “PERFECT” candidate suitable will come? … Well, a vote is a VOTE. Might as well use it on the best candidate out there, why waste it as you said. I mean, HECK, chances are that “PERFECT” candidate will never come… so take the vote :smile:

I don’t even watch American Idol…I think it’s a waste of time…

I haven’t seen neither of those movies, but I plan on seeing them sometime this week.

I think everyone should use their voting priviledges. However, learning what I have learned over the years concerning voting & the Electoral College, it’s kind of discouraging. The government can be so conniving, it’s almost as if our votes count for nothing anymore.

Oh yes! lol. I heard that Lt. Carman might have a MySpace page…lol. I just might (I will) add him. LOL. You can come along, it would be great :). For the Imus comments…i’ve been an avid viewer of his show and i’ve always thought he was awesome. These comments he made are just disturbing. I realy dont know what was going through his head because he seems to love African Americans, you know? His best friends are black…I just dont understand that.
