I finally got around to reorganizing my site a little bit more; I finally created previews for my brushes and I reorganized the layout section (no new layouts!). I’m pleased with it at the moment :grin: . I think I am going to reopen hosting in a couple of days, keyword it think, it may not happen so do not hold your breath lol… Lately, I have been helping people skin their site and I am thinking about making it a service at my site (it’ll be for free :smile: ). I’m not 100% about that either, but I will let you guys know eventually…

Countless times, I have come across myspace pages of 13 & 14 year olds who take somewhat provocative and suggestive pictures. Often, they just want to be sexy. Since when was being sexy an early teenage thing :question: ?! I did not stop playing with my barbies until I was 12. And at 13, I was not trying to be sexy, if anything I just wanted to be cute (and yes, there is a difference). Usually, the parents are to be blamed. They are not being very active in their child’s life and there is a lack of adult supervision. I do understand that the parent can not supervise their children 24/7 nor can they control their every move, but they should know what their child is doing online…

The other day, I was on facebook.com and I saw that this high schooler added pictures of herself in her bra. It’s so sad when girls do these things in hopes of getting a “damn, you look good” from some guy (chances are, that’s why she did that). Just because you have it, that does not mean you need to showcase it to the whole world. Have a little character, you know? I think today’s youth are growing up entirely too fast. I’ll be damned if I see my little sister doing unlady-like things like that.

Yeah I see tonsss of girls on myspace that are half dressed, and some even have playboy layouts & such. I know that when I have children, I’m going to watch them like a hawk on the computer, because God only knows that they can do!

You are so right about those girls. And there are so many girls who do that. When I visit a site like that while I’m browsing I always read what is on their site and I always watch the pictures. I don’t know why but there are a lot of things going on in my mind when I see young girls doing stupid things like that. Those girls probably do get compliments but I’m sure that there also are a lot of boys who think it’s slutty.

I mean srsly, A friend’s little sister is 11 and she used to be so damn cute but now she’s just a little slut. She’s using horrible language, and she has like 10 boyfriends. I’m 16 and i’m NOTHING like that at all. I think these girls need positive influences in their lives. I wish I could be a rolemodle to some of these kids. I’m not saying I’m perfect because none of us are, but these kids need the guidance that their parents can’t give them.

Don’t even get me started, it makes me sick. Why do girls want to appreciation of men, why can’t they just appreciate themselves? I just think young girls like that are followers, maybe they see other people that do and see the compliments they might get and be like “I want him to say that about me” or “damn, i wish i looked like that”. If you don’t have self respect for yourself, then nobody else will. And this is where it starts…next thing they’ll be wondering why men are calling them “hoes” and whatever else. kmft.

Yes girl, I’m only 14 and people say I’m weird or w/e because I don’t go around messing with every boy and dressing all hoochi and putting revealing pictures all over the place. My mom and dad would kill me. I don’t even want to think about the discipline I would recieve if I ever did something like that. I knew a girl in 3rd grade with a quick weave, she did not look her age. People are always trying to make boys like them by acting grown, but I don’t try I just be myself, no need for the revealing clothes, and sexual behaviour. ok? But this blog is sooo true. I still like Barbie and I’m 14. Sometimes, I wish I was still 9 so I can go back to KB Toys or Toys R Us and buy the whole barbie section like I did when I was 9 lol.

P.S. I graduated from the 8th grade as Valedictorian lol. I went to a private school that only goes up to 8th so the made the graduation like a high school graduation. lol.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. I’ve come across plenty of 13 & 14 yr old’s page, guys & girls, acting as if they were wanting to be 20 year old whores. It’s sad really. This one girl, one her main picture, put her PHONE NUMBER and where she lived. Her url was her real first & last name; and then her display picture was her; nude; but of course.. her hands were covering her barely there chest. I think it’s a shame. And then parents wonder why they’re child is found dead on the side of a road? Depressing, but it’s the truth. :blank:

That’s what I was discussing with a friend of mine a couple days ago. Today’s YOUTH IS JUST GROWING UP TOO FAST. I’m talking about teenagers my age posting Myspace pictures with make up, as if it was CAKED on their faces. What’s even more alarming is that some girls LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME. As if they’re competiting to be popular They have the same type of make up on, the same hair style, the same posing position. It’s… like.. they’re clones of some sort. I’m hopeful at the moment that none of them have posted any undergarment pictures =S

And it doesn’t even end there. My brother, a 5th grader, is in a classroom with girls who wear CLOTHES FROM THE MALL. I remember when I was their age (around the age of 10 and 11)… we were wearing OVERALLS. Yet… they manage to go on with their 5th grade lives with HOLLISTER AND ABERCROMBIE CLOTHES. It’s… as if they want to leave their childhood. The same thing’s happening with 5th grade boys.. they’re surcoming to skating shose (whehter or not they do actually skate) and getting LONG hair as if you can flick it left ot right. Whatever happened to short hair these days?

Who knows what they’ll be like when they reach their teens. I can only hope that they won’t be one of those people flashing their bra’s =S

I don’t get it though. It just all needs to SLOW DOWN.

In other news, I like the previews of the brushes and layout organizatio =D haha, it’s just so darn organized, especially how you have the previews in columns and how under each preview it says,”FEATURE: YADA YADA.” =)

the computer i use is a pretty small laptop. not like normal laptops. i think the issue is that the f11(fullscreen button) and the print screen(screenshot button) are on the same key so everytime i press that, it always ends up becoming fullscreen.
my computer i messed up. screw dell. lmao.

Agh that is so true! I was browsing my little sister’s best friend myspace, and she had pics of herself in her bra, and with her boobs almost showing, and countless of others provocative shots. I couldn’t believe my eyes, I mean, I thought it was just her but then I kept clicking links of other of her friends and most of them do the same. And goshh, I know! Sometimes I see my friends doing such stupid pictures and I’ll hear what guys say about them and it just makes me so sad. :/

And in response to a comment you left on my blog; Stomp is an off-Broadway show where they do beats and stuff using all kinds of things. At one point they all had lighters and the stage was dark and they’d flip them on and off in some beat. Another time they used newspapers. It was really good.

Yeah, it’s really unfortunate that kids nowadays seem to be growing up (or attempting to grow up) too young and too soon.
They don’t seem to have gained enough sense of morality to realise that doing those kind of things (Especially at a young age) is disrespectful to themselves.

I know what you mean about the pre-teens and early teens with myspaces and facebooks. I’m like wth? when I see girls in bras, provacative clothing, etc. Like you said, I didn’t do these things or worry about them when I was a pre-teen/early teen. I was just chillen and watching tv, talking to friends on the phone, spending time with fam, and so on. I didn’t get a computer with internet until I started high school… which was 4 years ago. haha But yeah. it’s sad when girls do that. Hopefully my sisters won’t do it, but I can’t control then…. I’ll just strongly advise. =)

I understand what your saying about girls on sites like myspace and facebook. I don’t understand why they’re trying to be sexy and/or cool. All they do when taking pictures like that is loose dignity and respect. Sadly, there’s not much we can do about it, because as you said, it probably starts in the home and it’s their parent’s bad example that’s egging them on.

Hopefully one day we’ll be able to end this problem online.

oh my gosh I thought it was just me, to be honest I think its a real shame, all you see nowadays is girls exposing themselves on the net im only 19 lol but believe me when I see stuff like that it makes me feel old cause first thoughts that come to my head is How Old Is She!!! It’s truly a shame to see things like this. But you know what I noticed? A lot of these young females who behave like this have young mothers or mothers who behave like adolescents. So in a sense, the children aren’t getting to see what growing up to be a young lady is like because their mother is still stuck in her teen years (behavior wise). It’s sad because the easiest place for females to do things like that is the internet.

I blame it on television. HAHA! I know that sounds cliche but it is true. All these children’s role models ar eon drugs, doing porn, or just out of it. I know it’s not right to idolize celebrities but the children do it anyway. I wouldn’t post pictures like that…that’s we have so many teenage pregnancies…these “girls” need a boy to make them feel special and beautiful and the only way for that is to be “sexy” and a “garden tool”.

I find it sooo annoying when 12-13 year olds try to act sexy and take provocative pictures of themselves. For the most part, they have nothing to show off. I highly doubt people are going to enjoy looking at flat chests/butts. The youngsters keep getting sluttier and sluttier every year. I blame the media.

Everything you said right there was so great, I had to copy and paste it for emphasis. Haha. Absolutely true. I wish I could slow life down for the kids younger than me.
I’m about to be 20 in not too long and even I don’t parade around in my bra on myspace and facebook.
It’s troubling. The world needs more mentors and positive role models–parents (and other family members) AND those celebs outside of the home (that a lot of kids see more often than their own parents).
